UMEB Host Circus Media at 2024 "Michigan Mudbowl" & Rivalry Weekend
October 28, 2024 - Matthew Hledin
This past weekend, we had the pleasure of being hosted by University of Michigan - Electric Boat Team at the highly anticipated Michigan vs. Michigan State 2024 football game. The energy in the stadium was electric as Wolverines fans filled the stands, rallying behind their team for one of the biggest matchups of the year. A huge thank you to U of M Electric Boat for making this memorable experience possible!

As an added bonus, we got to witness a beloved University of Michigan tradition: the Michigan Mudbowl. Organized by the Michigan Iota-Beta Chapter of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, and the "Michigan Mudbowl Club", this historic game has been a staple of U of M’s campus life since its founding in 1934. The Mudbowl pits two fraternities, Phi Delta Theta and SAE, against each other in a friendly, yet fierce, game of football—played, as the name suggests, on a field turned muddy battleground. It’s no wonder Bleacher Report dubbed it “The Dirtiest Tradition in College Football.”

But the Mudbowl is more than just a game. Each year, the event draws a large crowd and raises significant funds for charity. This year’s Mudbowl brought in over $58,000 for the Charles Woodson Clinical Research Fund at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, pushing the cumulative total raised since 2016 to over $400,000. It’s heartwarming to see the community come together to celebrate this tradition while contributing to such a meaningful cause.

Thank you again to U of M Electric Boat Team for hosting us at this unforgettable weekend of football, fun, and philanthropy. We look forward to our next collaboration!
